- Bochemija ir Moravija atitenka sukurtai Čekoslovakijai, Bosnija ir Hercogovina atitenka Jugoslavijai, Galicija- Lenkijai, Pietų Tirolis ir Istrija – Italijai.
Neji sutartis (Bulgarija) 1919 11 27:
- moka reparacijas;
- Bulgarijos teritorijų gauna Jugoslavija;
- Vakarų Trakija atitenka Graikijai.
Trianono sutartis (Vengrija) 1920 06 04 :
- moka reparacijas;
- ji privalo išduoti nusikaltėlius;
- Transilvanija atitenka Rumunijai, užkarpatė ir Slovakija – Čekoslovakijai, Kroatija ir Slovėnija – Jugoslavijai.
Sevro taikos sutartis (Turkija) 1920 08 10:

- Juodosios jūros sąsiauriais galėjo plaukti visų šalių laivai;
- kariuomenė buvo sumažinta iki 50 tūkst. kareivių.
- Kare žuvo ir mirė nuo žaizdų daugiau kaip 13,6 mln. žmonių;
- Sužeista ir suluošinta daugiau nei 20 mln;
- Visame pasaulyje patirta 360mlrd.dol. nuostolių, iš kurių 208mlrd. tiesioginės karo išlaidos;
- Europoje žlugo trys imperijos: Vokietijos, Austrijos–Vengrijos ir Rusijos;
- Europoje susikūrė daug naujų valstybių: Vengrija, Čekoslovakija, Latvija, Lietuva, Estija, Suomija, Lenkija;
- Per karą galutinai žlugo Vienos sistema, susiformavusi XIX a. pradžioje;
- JAV šio karo metu iškilo kaip stipri dominuojanti pasaulyje jėga.
Paryžiaus taikos konferencija
Paryžiaus taikos konferencija prasidėjo 1919 m. sausio 18 d. Prancūzijos užsienio reikalų ministerijos rūmuose. Konferencijoje dalyvavo 70 atstovų iš šalių nugalėtojų. Derybose pirmininkavo Prancūzijos ministras pirmininkas Žoržas Klemanso. Po Vienos kongreso tai buvo didžiausia taikos konferencija Europoje. Praėjus šimtui metų, palyginus su Vienos kongresu, konferencijoje išryškėjo visiškai nauja jėgų pusiausvyra Europoje. Paryžiaus taikos konferencijoje iš penkių didžiųjų valstybių, dominavusių Vienos kongrese, būsimus taikos klausimus sprendė tik dvi šalys – Anglija ir Prancūzija. Vokietija ir Austrija, kaip nugalėtos valstybės, negalėjo dalyvauti taikos derybose, kaip ir Rusija dėl įvykusio bolševikų perversmo bei ideologinių sumetimų. Taikos konferencijoje dalyvavo naujos Europos šalys, kurių prieš šimtą metų vykusio Vienos kongreso metu dar nebuvo. Tai – Italija, Belgija, Graikija, atkūrusi nepriklausomybę Lenkija, nauja susikūrusi Vidurio Europos valstybė Čekoslovakija. Konferencijoje turėjo būti parengtos taikos sąlygos Europoje, bet šiuos klausimus sprendė ne vien Europos valstybės. Labai svarbų vaidmenį Paryžiuje vaidino Jungtinės Amerikos Valstijos, kurių prezidento Vudro Vilsono 14 punktų programa buvo pagrindas būsimai sutarčiai. Be Amerikos, viena pagrindinių šalių, lėmusių taikos sąlygas, buvo Japonija. Iš užjūrio valstybių konferencijoje dalyvavo Didžiosios Britanijos dominijos. Nugalėtoji Vokietija bei buvusios jos sąjungininkės – Austrija, Bulgarija, Turkija Taikos konferencijoje negalėjo dalyvauti. Jų atstovai buvo pakviesti tik pasirašyti nugalėtojų parengtų taikos sutarčių. Pirmojo pasaulinio karo metu kariaujančios šalys ruošė būsimus taikos planus, tačiau konkretus sprendimas dėl visuotinės taikos nebuvo parengtas. Todėl Paryžiuje prasidėjusi konferencija užtruko keletą mėnesių, kol buvo parengtos taikos sąlygos. Visus reikšmingiausius klausimus Paryžiaus Taikos konferencijoje sprendė “keturių taryba” – Anglija, Prancūzija, JAV ir Italija.
Versalio taikos sąlygos
Daugiausia ginčų ir nesutarimų Paryžiaus taikos konferencijoje kilo dėl taikos sąlygų Vokietijai ir jos sąjungininkėms. Pagaliau jas parengus, nugalėtų šalių atstovai buvo pakviesti į Paryžių pasirašyti sutarčių. Kadangi jos su skirtingomis šalimis buvo pasirašytos įvairiuose Paryžiaus priemiesčiuose, tai ir jų pavadinimai kilo nuo tų priemiesčių vardų. Taikos sutartis su Vokietija buvo pasirašyta Versalio rūmuose, todėl ji vadinama Versalio taikos sutartimi. Sąlygos buvo labai griežtos: Vokietija neteko visų savo kolonijų, karinių jūrų ir dalies prekybinio laivyno. Versalio taika skelbė, kad Vokietija turėjo būti demilitarizuota. Tai reiškė, jog jai buvo uždrausta turėti reguliarią kariuomenę, reikėjo sunaikinti karinę pramonę, ginkluotę perduoti šalims nugalėtojoms. Visos karinės tvirtovės palei Reino upę turėjo būti sugriautos. Vokietija galėjo turėti tik 100 tūkst. kareivių apsaugoti sienas ir palaikyti vidaus tvarką. Vokietija prarado ne tik kolonijas, bet ir daugiau kaip 70 tūkst. km2 teritorijos. Prancūzijai ji turėjo atiduoti Elzasą ir Lotaringiją, prisijungtą 1870-1871 karo metais. Saro sritis ir kairysis Reino krantas 15 metų buvo perleistas valdyti Tautų Sąjungai. Dalis buvusių vokiškų žemių buvo atiduotos Belgijai ir Danijai. Rytuose Vokietija neteko buvusios Vakarų Prūsijos, prijungtos prie Lenkijos, su centru – Poznanės miestu. Lenkijai atiteko ir dalis Silezijos. Gdansko uostas buvo paskelbtas laisvu miestu, esančiu Tautų Sąjungos žinioje. Nuo Vokietijos buvo atskirtas Klaipėdos kraštas. Paryžiaus taikos sutartyje buvo skelbiama, kad Vokietija ir jos sąjungininkės yra atsakingos už karo sukėlimą Europoje, o tuo pačiu už visus padarytus materialinius nuostolius. Taigi Vokietija juos turėjo atlyginti. Pareikalautos iš Vokietijos reparacijos buvo labai didelės, ir ją išmokėti sutriuškinta šalis negalėjo. Vokietija privalėjo atiduoti dalį savo prekybinio ir žvejybinio laivyno, siųsti sąjungininkams geležį, akmens anglį, atiduoti daugybę garvežių, automobilių, išmontuoti gamyklas ir jų mašinas perduoti nugalėtojoms. Sudaryta speciali komisija turėjo parengti išsamų piniginių reparacijų planą. Jis buvo paruoštas tik po dvejų metų ir paskelbtas 1920 m. Jame buvo numatyta, kad Vokietija per 42 metus turi išmokėti dar 32 mlrd. dolerių. Vokietijos ekonomika buvo nepajėgi vykdyti tokių sąlygų. Tokie reikalavimai buvo palanki dirva kilti nepasitenkinimui tarp vokiečių ir skatino atsirevanšuoti, tuo vėliau pasinaudojo Hitleris. Sužinojusi apie tokias žeminančias ir sunkias taikos sąlygas 1919 m. gegužės mėn. Vokietijos vyriausybė jas atmetė. Tik po to, kai sąjungininkai ultimatyviai pareikalavo pasirašyti taikos sutartį ir pagrasino į Vokietijos teritoriją įvesti kariuomenę, 1919 m. birželio 28 d. Versalio rūmų Veidrodžių salėje, ten, kur 1871 m. buvo karūnuotas imperatorius Vilhelmas I, Vokietijos vyriausybė pasirašė taikos sutartį.
Taikos sutarčių pasirašymas su Austrija, Vengrija, Turkija ir Bulgarija
1919 m. rugsėjo 10d. Paryžiaus priemiestyje Šen Žermene pasirašyta sutartimi Austrijos respublika bei Vengrija buvo pripažintos Austrijos-Vengrijos imperijos įpėdinėmis. Taip jos buvo įvertintos kaip nugalėtos šalys, atsakingos už karo padarinius. Visų pirma Austrijai buvo uždrausta prisijungti prie Vokietijos, o tai padaryti jau buvo nusprendęs Austrijos parlamentas. Austrija turėjo pripažinti Čekoslovakijos, Lenkijos bei pietų slavų valstybių – Serbijos, Kroatijos ir Slovėnijos, 1929 m. susivienijusių į Jugoslavijos karalystę, nepriklausomybę. 1920 m. birželio 4 d. Trianono sutartimi Vengrija taip pat buvo pavadinta karo sukėlėja. Ji, kaip Austrija ir Vokietija, turėjo išmokėti sąjungininkams reparacijas, perduoti dalį karinės ginkluotės bei sumažinti kariuomenę iki 35 tūkst. kareivių. Vengrija neteko Slovakijos ir Karpatų Ukrainos, kurios buvo prijungtos prie Čekoslovakijos. Buvusios Vengrijos karalystės dalys – Kroatija ir Slovėnija įėjo į Jugoslavijos sudėtį. Bukovina ir Transilvanija atiteko Rumunijai. 1919 m. lapkričio 27 d. buvo pasirašyta Neji taikos sutartis su Bulgarija. Šiai buvusiai Vokietijos sąjungininkei buvo pritaikytos kiek švelnesnės sąlygos. Bulgarija turėjo atsisakyti kai kurių teritorijų. Dalis Makedonijos buvo prijungta prie Serbijos, Trakijos pakrantės prie Egėjo jūros atiteko Graikijai. Tačiau Bulgarijai dar buvo paliktas siauras priėjimas prie Egėjo jūros. Bulgarija taip pat turėjo išmokėti reparacijas, o jos kariuomenė buvo sumažinta iki 20 tūkst. kareivių. Su Turkija taikos sutartis buvo pasirašyta 1920 m. rugpjūčio 10d. Paryžiaus Sevro priemiestyje. Turkija neteko Egėjo jūros salų ir rytinės Trakijos, kurios atiteko Graikijai. Sirija buvo atskirta nuo Turkijos ir tapo Prancūzijos mandatine, t.y. valdoma, teritorija. Irakas, Palestina tapo mandatinėmis Anglijos teritorijomis. Kipro sala ir Egiptas taip pat atiteko Anglijai. Juodosios jūros sąsiauriai buvo internacionalizuoti, jais galėjo praplaukti visų šalių laivai. Nuo Turkijos atsiskyrė dalis Armėnijos. Dodekaneso ir Rodeso salos atiteko Italijai. Kurdams turėjo būti suteikta autonomija, bet šia galimybe kurdų gentys nepasinaudojo. Be reparacijų, Turkijos kariuomenė buvo sumažinta iki 50 tūkst. kareivių.
Naujų valstybių Rytų Europoje susikūrimas
Pirmojo pasaulinio karo pabaigoje, kilus revoliucijoms, subyrėjo trys didžiosios Rytų Europos tautas valdžiusios imperijos: Rusijos, Austrijos-Vengrijos ir Vokietijos. Išsivadavusios tautos sukūrė naujas valstybes arba atkūrė turėtą nepriklausomybę. Taip iš Rusijos imperijos išsivadavo Suomija, Estija, Latvija, Lietuva ir Lenkija. Nepavyko paskelbtą nepriklausomybę įtvirtinti Baltarusijai, Ukrainai, Gruzijai, Azerbaidžanui bei Armėnijai. 1920-1922 m. jos vėl buvo prijungtos prie bolševikinės Rusijos. 1918 m. pab. buvo paskelbta Čekoslovakijos nepriklausomybė. Atkūrusi nepriklausomybę Lenkija vėl suvienijo savo žemes, kurias po XVIII a. pab. padalijimų buvo pasidalijusios Rusija, Prūsija ir Austrija. Netekusios milžiniškų teritorijų, paskelbtos respublikomis, naują gyvenimą pradėjo Vengrija ir Austrija. Dėl tradicijų stokos, ekonominių ir politinių sunkumų Rytų Europos šalims sunkiai sekėsi kurti demokratinę santvarką. Siekiant užgniaužti komunistinį judėjimą, įveikti kitas politines bei ūkio problemas, vis labiau stiprėjo autoritarizmas. Jau po kelerių metų beveik visose Rytų ir Pietų Europos šalyse, išskyrus Čekoslovakiją, įsitvirtino nedemokratiniai, autoritariniai režimai.
Karo pasekmės
Neįmanoma suskaičiuoti, kokių milžiniškų materialinių nuostolių Europa patyrė per Pirmąjį pasaulinį karą. Frontuose žuvo beveik 8 mln. kareivių, o dar 18 mln. buvo sužeisti, visam gyvenimui liko invalidais. Nuo ligų ir bado mirė šimtai tūkstančių žmonių. Karo išvargintos šalys norėjo kuo greičiau likviduoti sunkumus, atkurti nuniokotą ūkį. Todėl Vokietijai ir jos buvusioms sąjungininkėms buvo sudarytos tokios sunkios taikos sąlygos, uždėtos milžiniškos reparacijos. Pralaimėjusios valstybės negalėjo pakelti tokios reparacijų naštos, neįstengė greičiau atkurti ekonomikos. Visas Europos šalis po karo ištiko ūkio stagnacija, buvo nemažai bedarbių. Per karą valstybės visas pastangas buvo sukoncentravusios frontui, kariuomenių aprūpinimui. Vyriausybės buvo perėmusios daugelį tų funkcijų, kurias anksčiau tvarkė patys piliečiai. Pasibaigus karui, žmonės buvo įpratę, kad už juos viską padarytų valstybė, jie nenorėjo rodyti iniciatyvos bei siekė, kad valstybė ir toliau reguliuotų daugelį sričių. Pirmasis pasaulinis karas visuomenėje paliko ir ryškių psichologinių problemų. Sugrįžę iš frontų kariai, ketverius metus išbuvę apkasuose, nesuprato nekariavusių žmonių. Buvę kariai manė, kad jie kovėsi už būsimą geresnį pasaulį. Tačiau pasirodė, kad geresnė ateitis nebuvo sukurta, o civiliai žmonės karą smerkė. Taip atsirado vadinamoji “prarastųjų kartą”, t.y. žmonės, nusivylę gyvenimo realybe. Jie ėmė idealizuoti karą, paprastą kareivį, besikaunantį už šviesią ateitį, bet išduotą karininkų ir politikų. Buvo pasėtas nepasitikėjimas demokratija, atsirado palankios sąlygos fašizmui bei nacionalsocializmui plisti. Sudarytos taikos sutartys ne tik neišsprendė problemų tarp Europos valstybių, bet, priešingai, jas paaštrino. Pasaulio politikoje vis labiau ir labiau įsigalėjo dvi valstybės – JAV ir SSRS.
